I'm a
DJ that uses 2 turntables, a sampler and a mixer. i have about 20 tapes already
and i make lots of short mixes. I also have an album remixing Daft Punk's "Discovery". I spin pretty much
every style of music (that includes most every techno genre) trying to work it all together.
Why this name?
I've
always thought the idea of evolution was really cool. that from
nothing, something was born. and sometimes, i think that's how it is
for DJs. even with nothing to work with, you can still produce
something unique and different. so i thought to myself what this first
creature from nothing would be called. "Nada One"
Do you play live?
Yes. I currently
live in Massachusetts and i like it. I've played graduation parties, school dances for both high school and college students, and house parties. one moment that stays in my head
is i was playing a gig at my friend's house and i played music so loud
that one of his porcelain statues exploded. it ruled.

How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
it gives up and coming artists a lot of exposure. I am all for it.
Would you sign a record contract with a major label?
if i was given the opportunity i would do it in a heartbeat.
Band History:
I've been scratching and mixing since mid-2002. i gain experience as i go and try to teach myself as much as i can.
Your influences?
I'm influenced by QBert and Revolution's styles of scratching. I'm also influenced by Shadow and Z-Trip's styles of mixing.
Favorite spot?
Hawaii (although i don't see the relevance)
Equipment used:
2 Vextax PDX 2000 turntables, a Roland SP-404 Sampler and a PMC Vestax mixer (really basic but it gets the job done).
Anything else...?
There are too many DJs out there that don't understand that it's an art form. I offer my services at a reasonable price so the technique can be shared and understood. real DJs are the backbone of music and it's a lot harder than it looks, folks. they deserve much respect.
